ITC Hotels Limited has signed a management agreement for Mementos by ITC Hotels Karjat, a 227-key luxury resort planned in Maharashtra, near Mumbai. Set against the Sahyadri foothills, the property will cater to growing demand for leisure getaways, wellness experiences, destination weddings and corporate retreats.

The resort will feature elegantly designed rooms and suites, along with an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurants, a bar and a tea lounge. Its culinary offerings will include regional and international cuisines inspired by the destination. Facilities will also include a signature spa, fitness centre, swimming pools and recreational activities.

For events and celebrations, the property will offer more than 60,000 square feet of indoor event space, including a grand ballroom and meeting venues. Additionally, over 30,000 square feet of outdoor lawns will accommodate weddings, social gatherings and corporate functions.

Commenting on the agreement, Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited, said Karjat’s natural surroundings, connectivity and growing popularity as a destination for celebrations and retreats made it a promising location. He added that the project reflected the company’s focus on expanding its presence in high-potential leisure markets.

Ashok Chhajer, Chairman and Managing Director of Arihant Super Structures Limited, said the vision was to develop a destination that highlights the region’s natural appeal while catering to holidays, celebrations and retreats. He noted that the partnership with ITC Hotels brought together a shared focus on hospitality standards.

Mementos by ITC Hotels is part of the company’s luxury portfolio, comprising properties across different destinations that focus on distinctive experiences and local character. The signing of the Karjat resort marks another step in ITC Hotels’ expansion across India’s leisure hospitality market.
