Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives Recognised as Best Luxury Hotel at AHA Awards 2026

Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives has been recognised as “Best Luxury Hotel” at the AHA Awards 2026, adding another industry recognition to the resort’s early presence in the Maldives’ luxury hospitality segment.
The award marks a significant recognition for Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives, which forms part of Centara Hotels & Resorts’ luxury portfolio in the Maldives. The resort is located in the North Malé Atoll and is part of The Atollia by Centara Hotels & Resorts. It combines beachfront and overwater accommodation with dining, wellness and leisure experiences.
Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives began welcoming guests in 2025. In its first year of operations, the property also received recognition through the Condé Nast Traveller Middle East Readers’ Choice Awards 2025, where it was named among the Favourite Overseas Leisure Hotels, and was listed among the Top Ten Best Maldives Resorts in the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, according to Visit Maldives.
The latest recognition comes as the resort continues to establish its position within Centara’s growing Maldives portfolio. The property features beachfront and overwater villas as well as two- and three-bedroom residences. Several accommodation categories include private pools or Jacuzzis, while the resort also offers dining facilities and the Spa Cenvaree Retreat.
Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives is part of the company’s broader expansion in the Maldivian market. Centara’s financial update for the first quarter of 2026 noted that operating results from Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives had been incorporated into its Maldives business performance. The company reported improved Maldives revenue indicators during the period, although these figures covered the group’s wider Maldives operations rather than the resort alone.
The resort’s recognition at the AHA Awards 2026 comes during a period when Maldives continues to attract international hospitality brands and investment across the luxury and upscale segments. For Centara, the award provides another industry milestone for its luxury offering in the destination.
The recognition also highlights the resort’s progress during its early operating period, following its launch as part of Centara’s Maldives expansion. With its combination of lagoon-based accommodation, hospitality services and wellness offerings, Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives continues to contribute to the growing range of international luxury stays available in the destination.
