BEKIND Hotels Highlights Maldives’ Manta Ray Season with Immersive Island Experiences

BEKIND Hotels & Resorts is highlighting the Maldives’ manta ray season from September to November, drawing attention to the marine experiences available around its properties, Fushifaru Maldives and Meyyafushi Maldives, in Lhaviyani Atoll. During the season, travellers can explore the waters around Fushifaru Thila, a well-known marine site located around three minutes by boat from Fushifaru Maldives and approximately 15 minutes from Meyyafushi Maldives. The site features a natural manta ray cleaning station, where the rays gather while cleaner fish remove parasites from their bodies. The location allows divers to observe the mantas underwater, while snorkellers can watch them from the surface.
The wider Lhaviyani Atoll is home to a variety of marine life, including colourful coral reefs, turtles, rays and dolphins. At Fushifaru, guests can also explore the house reef and nearby dive sites, along with activities such as dolphin and sunset cruises, sandbank excursions and wellness experiences at Heylhi Spa. The resort also offers a private sandbank dining experience.
At Meyyafushi Maldives, marine activities are complemented by experiences such as coral garden excursions and the Bubble Underwater Restaurant, where guests can dine while surrounded by views of the underwater environment. The resort also features a rooftop glass-bottom pool, overwater spa experiences and other recreational facilities.
The seasonal focus comes as the Maldives continues to attract travellers interested in marine tourism and nature-based experiences. According to BEKIND Hotels & Resorts, the September-November period provides an opportunity to explore the destination through its underwater ecosystems as well as its dining, wellness and island activities.
“September to November offers our guests a wonderful opportunity to experience the Maldives beyond its iconic beaches and lagoons,” said Ahmed Siaar, Cluster General Manager, BEKIND Hotels & Resorts. He added that the manta season, coral exploration, marine encounters, wellness and sandbank experiences together provide a broader way of experiencing the destination.
Fushifaru Maldives is a boutique resort in Lhaviyani Atoll, situated near protected marine areas and dive sites. Meyyafushi Maldives is a Premium All-Inclusive resort with 95 luxury villas and suites, each featuring a private pool. Both properties offer access to the surrounding marine environment and a range of island-based experiences.
