ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of Welcomhotel Dehradun Selaqui, a new 117-key property that will further strengthen the hospitality group's presence in Uttarakhand. The project, developed under a management agreement with Orions Hospitality, marks the second Welcomhotel signing in Dehradun and reflects the company's continued focus on expanding its presence in high-growth business and leisure destinations through its asset-right strategy.
The upcoming hotel will feature 117 guest rooms and suites, catering to both corporate and leisure travellers. Guests will have access to a range of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop speciality restaurant and a lounge bar. The property will also offer more than 20,000 sq. ft. of indoor banqueting facilities along with nearly 25,000 sq. ft. of landscaped outdoor lawns, making it a significant venue for weddings, conferences, exhibitions and social events in the region.
According to ITC Hotels, the development aligns with the growing demand for premium hospitality in Dehradun, a city that has witnessed rapid economic growth, improved infrastructure and increasing tourist arrivals in recent years. Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Dehradun serves as the gateway to popular destinations such as Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Haridwar, while also emerging as an important centre for education, manufacturing and business.
The signing follows the recent opening of **Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels Madhuban Dehradun**, further strengthening the brand's footprint in Uttarakhand. With two Welcomhotel properties planned for the city, ITC Hotels is positioning itself to meet the rising demand from both domestic and international travellers seeking quality accommodation and event venues.
The expansion is part of ITC Hotels' broader growth strategy to increase the presence of the Welcomhotel brand across promising destinations where rising connectivity, tourism and commercial activity are driving demand for branded hospitality. The company currently operates more than 150 hotels across over 95 destinations in India, with a portfolio spanning luxury, premium, heritage and mid-market segments.
