Mission Udaan Bridges Classroom Learning with Tourism Industry in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Sheeraz Tours and FICCI FLO Lucknow have joined hands to launch Mission Udaan – Empowering Dreams, Building Careers, Transforming the Future, an initiative aimed at connecting classroom learning with practical opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Around 190 students and faculty members from five institutions, including Lucknow University, Amity University and Integral University, participated in the programme. An MoU was also signed, appointing Sheeraz Tours as the Industry and Execution Partner for the initiative.

Under Mission Udaan, selected students will receive six months of free, industry-focused training covering key areas such as tour package designing, visa documentation, GDS and ticketing, tour management, aviation, cruise tourism, hospitality and destination management.

The programme will also offer industry mentorship and employment guidance, helping students gain a better understanding of career opportunities and the skills required to enter the tourism sector.

A panel discussion further explored career opportunities across Uttar Pradesh’s tourism, aviation and hospitality industries. Industry experts shared insights into emerging trends, changing requirements and the skills young professionals need to build successful careers.

Through the initiative, the organisers aim to create a stronger connection between academic education and the practical requirements of the travel and tourism industry.
