New Delhi, August 6, 2026: ITC Hotels marked its 50th anniversary at its 3rd Annual General Meeting, reflecting on five decades of hospitality and outlining its growth plans for the years ahead. The company highlighted India’s rising tourism potential, supported by stronger connectivity, growing domestic travel and increasing demand for experience-led journeys.
ITC Hotels currently operates around 150 hotels with more than 14,200 keys across India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. During the year under review, the company recorded a 19% increase in total income to more than ₹4,331 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) grew by 29%. Over the past 24 months, the company has signed 63 hotels and opened 29 properties, supporting its asset-right expansion strategy.
Looking ahead, ITC Hotels has a pipeline of 78 hotels with more than 8,000 keys and aims to expand its operating portfolio to 250 hotels with over 22,000 keys within the next five years. The company is also developing new properties in Puri, Visakhapatnam and Delhi, while expanding its existing hotel in Bhubaneswar. Together, these projects are expected to add nearly 670 rooms.
The company is further strengthening its presence through new signings and acquisitions. It is pursuing the acquisition of a property in Kerala and has signed another property in Ahmedabad. Recent agreements have also been signed for hotels in Ayodhya, Bodh Gaya, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Jaipur, Rajgir, Shahjahanpur and Shirdi, covering destinations with strong potential across pilgrimage, heritage, weddings, leisure, wellness and business travel.
During the AGM, ITC Hotels also highlighted the changing landscape of Indian tourism. Domestic travel has grown significantly, with domestic visits exceeding 4 billion. The company noted the increasing popularity of diverse travel segments, including destination weddings, spiritual tourism, wellness, concerts, sporting events, festivals and MICE travel.
Sustainability remains another key focus for the company. ITC Hotels currently operates 25 LEED Platinum-certified properties, described as the world’s largest portfolio of its kind. It also has 13 hotels with LEED Zero Water certification and 12 with LEED Zero Carbon certification.
The company is continuing to invest in digital and artificial intelligence technologies to improve guest experiences, operational efficiency and revenue management. Its portfolio spans seven brands—ITC Hotels, Mementos, Welcomhotel, Storii, Fortune Hotels, WelcomHeritage and Epiq Collection—serving different segments of the hospitality market.
As ITC Hotels enters its next phase of growth, the company said its focus will remain on combining Indian hospitality and experiences with sustainability, technology and global service standards.
