Three-city networking programme in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad focuses on trade engagement and increasing visitor arrivals

The Department of Tourism, Culture & Media, Government of Ajman, has announced a new incentive programme for Indian travel trade partners as part of its strategy to strengthen the emirate’s presence in the Indian market.

The announcement was made during a three-city networking event held across Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad, bringing together travel agents, tour operators and other industry stakeholders. The programme is aimed at strengthening B2B partnerships, increasing destination awareness and encouraging more bookings from India.

Incentive Programme to Begin September 15

The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture & Media Incentive Programme will run from September 15 to December 1, 2026. Under the scheme, eligible travel agents will receive a monetary incentive for every passenger booked to Ajman, with the programme applicable to bookings ranging from one to 49 passengers.

The initiative is intended to encourage travel trade partners to actively promote Ajman and generate greater demand during the campaign period.

Strengthening Trade Engagement in India

The three-city networking programme provided Ajman with an opportunity to engage directly with travel agents and tour operators in three key Indian markets. Discussions focused on building stronger trade relationships, improving destination knowledge and highlighting Ajman’s expanding range of tourism experiences.

H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General, Department of Tourism, Culture & Media, Government of Ajman, said India remains an important source market for the emirate. He added that the incentive programme is designed to create a commercial opportunity for trade partners while encouraging them to introduce Ajman to more Indian travellers.

Neeti Sharma, Director, Intrepid Marketing & Communications, said Indian travellers are increasingly looking for experiences beyond conventional UAE holidays. She noted that continued engagement with the travel trade will be important in helping agents understand Ajman and recommend it to their customers.

Part of Ajman’s Vision 2030

Ajman’s India strategy forms part of its wider tourism development plans under Ajman Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen the emirate’s position as an accessible and diverse destination while supporting economic development through tourism, culture and heritage.

The emirate plans to continue developing experiences across leisure, nature, family tourism, hospitality and business events, while strengthening relationships with international travel trade partners and expanding its presence across key source markets.

The new incentive programme represents an extension of this strategy in India, combining trade incentives with stronger B2B engagement and destination promotion.

Ajman’s tourism authorities are expected to continue working with Indian travel trade partners to improve destination awareness, expand the emirate’s presence in travel itineraries and build sustained demand from the Indian market.
