Ensana Fürstenhof, a historic hotel in Bad Griesbach, Bavaria, Germany, has officially reopened following an extensive renovation. The property has undergone major upgrades, including the modernisation of 148 rooms and the refurbishment of its 4,500-square-metre spa area. The hotel’s wellness facilities include indoor and outdoor thermal pools, whirlpools, saunas, a steam room and a salt grotto. Guests can also experience treatments using natural thermal water sourced from local therapeutic springs, which are known for their role in the region’s health and wellness offerings.

The property is also preparing to expand its medical wellness services. Medical facilities are scheduled to open in early 2027, offering personalised programmes focused on musculoskeletal health, stress management and overall well-being. These services are expected to strengthen the hotel’s focus on health-oriented stays.

Located in Lower Bavaria’s established spa region, Ensana Fürstenhof also provides access to a major golf resort spread across 476 hectares, featuring ten golf courses. This adds to the property’s appeal for travellers seeking a combination of wellness, leisure and outdoor activities.

The reopening marks Ensana’s entry into Germany’s hospitality market, expanding the group’s presence in Europe’s health and wellness tourism sector. The renovation aims to combine the hotel’s historic character with modern facilities for guests seeking relaxation and therapeutic experiences.
