The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) has strengthened its commitment to the air cargo sector as the industry navigates increasing geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory challenges. During the latest general assembly of the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt (ACCF), BARIG Chairman and Executive Director Michael Hoppe was re-elected to the Executive Board, representing the airline segment.

BARIG said closer cooperation among airlines, logistics providers, and industry stakeholders is essential to improve supply chain resilience and efficiency. Through its Air Cargo Committee, co-chaired by Jorge Carretero of LATAM Cargo and Thilo Schäfer of Condor Cargo, the association is focusing on key areas such as digitalisation, automation, and process optimisation.

BARIG also reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for better policies and operating conditions to support a modern and efficient air cargo industry.
