
A Historic Day for Kurukshetra: PM Modi Honours Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Launches New Cultural Attractions
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kurukshetra highlighted the region’s spiritual heritage and its growing tourism appeal. He inaugurated the new Panchjanya Chowk, designed as a tribute to Lord Krishna’s divine conch, symbolising courage, duty, and cultural legacy. The Prime Minister also toured the Mahabharat Anubhav Kendra, where advanced light, sound, and laser technology, along with 3D immersive rooms, recreate key episodes of the Mahabharata for a modern and engaging visitor experience. Additionally, PM Modi attended the state-level commemoration of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Day, featuring exhibitions that showcased the Guru’s sacrifice, teachings, and message of freedom and humanity. The visit further strengthens Kurukshetra’s position as a vibrant hub of culture, history, and spiritual tourism.
