With its expanding network across destinations including Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Sindhudurg and Agatti, FLY91 is expected to ease travel for delegates, filmmakers and film enthusiasts. The airline is also engaging visitors through a contest at its kiosk at Inox Panaji.
IFFI, organised with support from the Union Information & Broadcasting Ministry and the Goa government, continues to attract film lovers from across India and around the world.

The self-check-in system, introduced in 2023, is seeing steady growth, with 15% of SriLankan Airline's departing passengers now opting for the digital service. Travellers can independently select seats, print boarding passes and generate bag tags within minutes. Head of Airport and Ground Services Deepal Pallegangoda said Singapore Airlines will be the first foreign carrier to adopt the upgraded kiosk service, as the airport strengthens digital solutions to support rising passenger traffic this season.

Over the years, British Airways has maintained daily services on this route, connecting Bengaluru to more than 190 destinations worldwide through London. The milestone highlights the growing cultural and economic ties between India and the UK and reinforces BA’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.

Passengers on the long-haul flights can enjoy meals that combine European influences with authentic Chinese flavors. Signature offerings include tender beef fillet with roasted potato cubes, buttered snow peas, and thyme demi-glace, as well as aromatic Kung Pao chicken served with crisp vegetables and rice. GIC emphasizes freshness, presentation, and attention to detail across all service classes.
Göksel Yildirim, CEO of GIC, said, “With Air China, we are creating a partnership that brings diverse flavors to the highest level. Our goal is to offer all guests unique culinary experiences that are fresh, authentic, and crafted with care.”
Based in Kelsterbach near Frankfurt Airport, GIC currently produces up to 5,000 meals daily for 21 international airlines, business jets, and private events. Recent collaborations, including with the Cuban airline Cubana, further strengthen GIC’s position as a premium provider of international airline catering.

The initiative, valid until September 30, 2025, is part of FLY91’s effort to make air travel more accessible and affordable for customers across its growing network of tier two and tier three destinations as we move into the festive season. By removing the convenience fee, the airline is extending direct savings to its passengers, reaffirming its commitment to customer-friendly and transparent pricing.
“By doing away with the convenience fee this month we are offering our customers genuine savings and a more transparent booking experience,” said Manoj Chacko, managing director and CEO of FLY91.
With this latest step, FLY91 has become the only airline in the country to completely waive convenience fees for bookings on its own website. The company hopes this will set a new benchmark in the industry, encouraging more customer-first approaches that support the growth of regional aviation.
Headquartered in Goa, FLY91 currently operates to eight destinations, namely Goa (Mopa), Pune, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Solapur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Agatti. The regional airline launched its operations last year.
